Mentoring
The PathwayOregon Mentor Program is a new opportunity designed to help PathwayOregon students connect with and support each other. In the Mentor Program, Sophomore, Junior and Senior students volunteer to be peer mentors for incoming first-year students. Each mentoring pair agrees to attend a certain number of Pathway and University events together, but can also arrange their own outside meetings and study sessions.
Workshops
Each term, your PathwayOreogn offer a series of workshops focusing on important financial (like submitting your FAFSA) and academic topics (like choosing a major) but also exploring some of the more subtle and challenging aspects of being a college student.
Workshops in this series will address topics like:
- Ways of relating to your education.
- Defining long- and short-term goals and developing strategies.
- The importance of mistakes in education/growth.
- The power of self-perception.
- How to interpret grades.
You can learn more about upcoming workshops in the PathwayOregon newsletter (sent to your UO email). Also, take a look at the workshops offered through the Teaching and Learning Center and Get Savvy.
